William P. Mercier, 83, of Freeport, IL, passed away on December 15, 2023 at FHN. He was born on May 26, 1940 in Freeport, to Vernon and Rose (Yankee) Mercier. He married Judith Linder on August 5, 1961.

Survivors include his 3 sons: Todd (Jody) Mercier, Tim Mercier, and Tony Mercier; 1 daughter, Tiffany Mercier, 2 sisters: Maryann Anderson and Ruth Babler; 1 brother, John Mercier, 3 grandchildren: Shannon (Joe) Honn, Tyler (Kristen) Mercier, and Kenzie (Marcus) Vanbrocklin; and 1 great-grandson Brayden Honn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

In honoring his wishes, no services will be held.
