William (Bill) Mayborne, 67, of LaBelle, FL, passed away on July 5, 2022, at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. He was born on January 2, 1955, in Freeport, IL to Charlotte (Garrett) Buss. He was a graduate of Dakota High School. He was also a member of the First Christian Church, Moose Lodge 2398, and VFW Post 20, all of LaBelle, FL.

Survivors include his brother Steven Alexander, sister Vicki Yokers (Dennis), sister Lee Ann Schwebke (Terry), and brother Jeff Buss (Jan).

He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Tina Buss, and grandparents.

Bill was an avid fisherman and told family & friends many fish stories. He was a big fan of racing & Nascar. He sponsored a race car from LaBelle, FL #13. He was a diehard bear fan and often threatened to fire the coaching staff himself. His smile always brightened everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his Florida, Wisconsin, and Illinois friends & family. His smoked meats were enjoyed by many family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022, at 3 PM, with visitation at 2 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Pastor Bill Maddox from LaBelle, FL will officiate.
