William K. Goebel, 79, of Freeport, IL, passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born on June 26, 1946, in Lena, IL, to Carl and Alma (Paul) Goebel. He was a graduate of Lena-Winslow High School and later was a farm hand for many local farmers.

Survivors include his son Shawn (Ginger) Andrews, grandchildren: Emily, Cloey, Lexey, Brady, Avery, and Riley Andrews of Viola, WI; sister Lorraine Shubert, brothers: Stan (Marlene) Goebel, Jim (Kim) Goebel, and John (Darcey), all of Lena, IL, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Alma (Paul) Goebel, sister Virginia Aurand, and brother-in-law Gary Schubert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
