Vivian Gempler, 82, of Freeport, IL, passed away on August 23, 2021 at home. She was born on August 12, 1939 in Freeport to Bernard and Virginiamae (Mathews) Dyson. She married Nathan Gempler in Freeport. She was a member of the Eagles Club.

Survivors include her sons: Don Gempler and Joe Gempler; her daughters: Deb Knight and Pam (Rhett) Skeel; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Gempler, her son Ron Gempler, and her son-in-law Bob Knight.

A visitation will be held on Friday August 27, 2021 from 3PM – 7PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
