Valentina Y. Schriver Nortridge Hein, 74, of Freeport, IL, passed away on June 26, 2023 at Heritage Woods. She was born on October 15, 1948 in Freeport, to Rhinehart and Elizabeth Schriver. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She married John Michael Nortridge on August 5, 1965. He would precede her in death. She would later marry Alvin Hein on January 20, 2012. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Red Cross.

Survivors include her daughters: Lesley (Nortridge) Lehman, Yvonne Nortridge, Mary (Nortridge) Peters, Brandae and Mark Hilby, and Suzanne (Nortridge) Schoff; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and husband Alvin "Tuck" Hein.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Rhinehart and Elizabeth Schriver, John Nortridge (husband of 38 years), son-in-law Brian Schoff, and granddaughter Danielle Lehman.
