Tonya Lee
Love
Dec 3, 1983 — Apr 27, 2025
Tonya Lee Love, 41, passed away peacefully in the caring hands of UW Health Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday April 27th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Tonya was born on December 3rd, 1983 in Freeport, Illinois to Tammy Love and Jeffrey Love. She was a 2002 graduate of Freeport High School. Tonya has been a dedicated "Fanson" of the pop band Hanson since as far back as anyone can remember! The youngest member Zac was her forever love. Tonya lived a life filled with smiles that burst from her, and brought joy to everyone around her. She loved with her whole heart every single day. She taught us all that love is not what you say, love is what you do, and Tonya did it well. Her family loves her with everything we have, and will never stop missing her. Tonya has known and walked with Him for many years, attending youth group and church services at Park Hills Church in Freeport. Tonya's biggest and proudest role in life was her Aunt title. Tonya's Love will survive and live in her mother Tammy Veer and "Dad" Ernest Chuck Veer; sister Ashly Love (Gregory Sloan Jr) of California; brothers James Love (Stella Knuth) of Freeport, Justin Veer (Katie Unger) of Freeport, Nathan Veer of Freeport, Cody Love of Freeport; special and cherished nieces, Jada Veer and Braelynn Veer, nephews Trevor Lee Veer, Austin Veer, and Sebastian Sloan; as well as two lifetime friends: Megan Hallstrom and Kasey Bauscher, and many other treasured family and friends.
She was welcomed by many dearly departed family and preceded in death by her father Jeffrey Love; paternal grandparents Russell Sr. and Lorine Love; niece Kylee Veer; maternal grandmothers Mary Smith and Shirley Veer, maternal grandfather Leroy Smith; as well as other beloved family members in eternal rest.
Tonya made the most selfless decision to donate her organs to UW Organ and Tissue Donation Services, allowing many recipients to receive precious gifts from her. She will now always be remembered as a Donor Hero!
Our final goodbye funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 30th 2025, at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rachel officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
