Tina M.
Wales
Jun 8, 1965 — May 18, 2025
Tina M. Wales, 59, of Savanna, passed away peacefully in her home with her dogs on May 18th, 2025. She was born on June 8th, 1965, in Freeport, IL, to Robert L. Wales and Amy B. Wales (Tucker).
She was a 1983 graduate of Freeport High School. In high school, she was in metal shop and autobody, and developed many lifelong friendships. Before her passing, Tina was employed at MacLean Fogg- Metform. She worked at various businesses around the Freeport area, including but not limited to: Honeywell, Rice Lake Weighing Systems in Rice Lake, WI, Heritage Woods, Sullivans Foods, Pearl City School, Dura Automotive Systems, and Sauer-Danfoss. She also owned a food truck for a few years and, in her younger years, worked at A&W and the Lena Drive Inn with her best friend Jody Campbell. More than anything, Tina loved her animals, crafting and playing board games with her kids, cooking, Coca-Cola, decorating her house/yard and fairy gardens, her Camaro, Cherished Teddies, AC/DC and other rock music, the Chicago Bears, and above all else, making other people smile. Tina loved using her crafting skills to thrift shop for stuffed animals to repurpose into toys for her two dogs, Axel and Roxie. She really loved handmade gifts. One of Tina's favorite pastimes was going on fishing day trips, and when her kids were younger, playing in the creek at Lake-Le-Aqua-Na. Tina will be missed by her family and friends for her outgoing personality and her unwavering generosity.
Survivors include her son Ean Raymond & Grace Hiller, daughter Maranda Raymond & Perry Ditzler, brother Gary (Doris) Wales, sisters: Cindy (Ken) Waller, Melody (Tim) Klouser, Rosalee (Mark) Ernst, Wendy Skutt; many nieces and nephews, her dogs Axel & Roxie, her guinea pig Peaches, and her grand-dogs Bennett, Ruby, Appa, & Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Amy Wales, grandparents, Clarence & Phoebe Wales, Adrian & Rose Tucker, and brother-in-law Jerry Skutt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 3 PM - 7 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
