Ta'Tyanah Denise
Hope Vaughn
May 19, 2001 — May 27, 2026
On Saturday, May 19, 2001, Ta'Tyanah Denise Hope Vaughn graced us with her presence, born to her parents, Terrance L. Vaughn and Elizabeth K. Johnson. Ta'Ty, Mama, and Tha Girl are all names she will be remembered by.
Ta'Ty accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Faith Temple COGIC of Freeport, IL, by Pastor Lynn Hawkins. At Faith Temple, Ta'Ty was a faithful member of the Sunshine Band, Sunday School, and the choir.
Ta'Ty received her formal education through the Freeport School District, graduating from Freeport High School on her 18th birthday. Ta'Ty worked as an activity aide at a few local nursing homes before becoming a teacher aide at Creative Learning Center and then at the YMCA. She moved to Virginia in 2020 and worked at Little Rose Day School. She got homesick, resigned, and moved back home.
On September 11, 2025, Ta'Ty completed her Phlebotomy course and became a certified Phlebotomist. She started at FHN on January 5, 2026.
Ta'Tyanah gave birth to her favorite human in the world on January 5, 2025. She named him Rylo Lanair. He kept her on her toes and gave her a reason to be great at everything she would do for the rest of her life, because he was definitely looking up to her. "Ta'Ty loves the kids", her favorite phrase. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, cousins, and her friend's children. Her smile, pure gold! Her attitude was hers, and she could be your best friend or your greatest enemy. She spoke her mind and kept it moving. She was also sensitive.
On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Ta'Tyanah left to see her twin, her baby brother, Rance. She didn't say bye, she just left. Ta'Ty is preceded in death by her twin (Baby Brother): TyRance L.
