Takia B. Sanders aka (Teka) born September 1, 1982 to Barbara Sanders and Fredrick Canady. Spending her early years on the south side of Chicago's low end until moving on up to 98th and Aberdeen. Takia had an older brother, Terrell Sanders, and two younger sisters, Dominique Sanders and Kerri White, on her mother's side to whom she and her brother Terrell had to be a teacher, helper and protector to. She had 9 older siblings on her father's side whom Takia loved being around because finally, she could just be a kid. Takia sister Dwan was like her best friend, Teka knew she could count on her. Takia younger sisters Dominique Sanders and Kerri White played a very instrumental role in her adult life, being there for her whenever she needed them. She spent many years helping to assist in raising her two younger sisters and a plethora of younger cousins. She was always looking for a good time!!!!! A good time to play her music as loud as possible, a good time to cook up everything in the house to make sure everyone ate,a good time to smile, laugh, and just hang with family and friends. Takia had 5 children, 3 daughters, and 2 sons whom she loved with all her heart. In the last month of her life our cousin Akeisha Sanders was there with her everyday, helping with feeding administering medicine, assisting in taking showers, changing her clothes, cooking and just being someone she could talk to. Takia Auntie Betty Munn was also there, taking her to doctors' appointments and more. Takia had friends and family that came from near and far to be with her in her final hours, some via video call. She had a host of Nieces/Nephews /Cousins and Uncles she loved dearly. Takia B. Sanders was/is Loved by so many.
