Tabitha
Lott
Sep 23, 1984 — Aug 12, 2024
Tabitha L. Lott, age 39, of Stockton, IL, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, August 12, 2024. Tabitha was born on September 23, 1984 in Rockford, IL, to Mark and Julie (Moutrey) Schultz. She was a 2004 graduate of Freeport High School. From there, Tabitha was enrolled in nursing school as well as studied cosmetology at Highland Community College. She was an ordained pastor through Beloved Church in Lena, IL. On June 15, 2018, Tabitha was united in covenant marriage with Craig Lott, in Freeport, IL.
Tabitha spent the majority of her life overcoming obstacles. While her childhood threw her many curveballs, Tabitha won every battle. She discovered that singing and praising her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the key component to victory, and everyone that heard her voice was blessed by her lifetime gift of singing. Tabitha enjoyed traveling with her family to Branson, MO, as well as vacationing in Wisconsin Dells. In the past few years, she has also spent a lot of time in the mountains of Colorado. Some of the many skills that Tabitha dabbled in include professional cleaning, volunteering at her church, homesteading, canning, cooking, she was part of a traveling worship band, and many more miscellaneous hobbies she acquired throughout her life. Tabitha enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, always finding a reason to laugh or bringing joy into every situation.
Tabitha dedicated her life to Jesus and His Kingdom, since the young age of 2, attending church as a bus kid. Some of her fondest memories were related to ministry, including her connections with churches in years past, her current church's Family Camp, her mission trip to Honduras, and the many conferences that she attended all over the United States. She was a cherished member of Beloved Church in Lena, IL, where she has deep connections and served in various ministries, including on the worship team, Kids Church, altar team, multiple outreach opportunities, leading the cleaning teams, and pastoring the youth group and young adults group. Tabitha also volunteered in the area for different non-profits, including The Academy of Readiness and Character in Stockton, IL, and Lifeline Coalition in Freeport, IL.
Tabitha is survived by her husband Craig; her mother, Julie (John) Hess of Pecatonica, IL; her father, Mark (Leah) Schultz of Waupaca, WI; siblings: Christina Schultz of Freeport, IL, Samantha (Chad) Rippy of Sterling, IL, and Dustin Chambers of Freeport, IL; her grandparents: Richard and Patricia Moutrey of Okeechobee, FL, Doris Schultz of Waupaca WI, and Pam Haight of Freeport, IL; her aunts and uncles: Rick Moutrey of Okeechobee, FL, Tina Sipe of Machesney Park, IL, Laura Nowak of Waupaca, WI, and Amy Schultz; parents-in-law: Larry and Lynn Lott of Pearl City, IL; sisters-in-law: Stephanie (Nick) Granno of Jacksonville, FL, and Janet Lott of Pearl City, IL; nephews and niece: Dominic, Lawrence, and Layla Granno, and Jaxxon Chambers; and grandmothers-in-law: Marjorie Lott of Pearl City, IL, and Shirley Schadewaldt of Dakota, IL.
