LANARK---Susan Marie (McLean) Drozd passed away peacefully in her sleep at FHN Hospital on January 22,2022 after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.  She was born on June 13, 1959 in Bowmanville, Ontario Canada to William Austin and Florine Jean (Burtch) McLean.

On June 23, 2009, Susan married Joseph Michael Drozd in a simple private ceremony performed by His Honor Judge Val Gunnarsson.

On October 21, 2015, Susan, better known as Sue or Susie to her fellow employees and customers, started working for the new Casey's General Store in Lanark, Il as one of the first full time employees at this new location.  When she had to take a medical leave from work, she dearly missed seeing all her fellow workers and customers with whom she had developed a lasting friendship with over the years.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Michael, step father Wayne Donnelly, son Adam Robert (Shannon Henderson) Sarginson, daughter Tanya Marie (Mark) Davidson, stepson Thomas Earl Drozd, stepdaughter Teresa (William) DeVos, granddaughter Stephanie, grandsons William, Mason and Maverick, great granddaughter Madeline, sisters Barbie (David) Hachey, Laurie (the late Robert Luke) Cox, brother Billy, stepsister Michelle (Stephen Roth) McKinnon and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Florine McLean, her brother Bobby (Faith) McLean and many aunts and uncles.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  Interment will be at the Lanark Cemetery in Lanark, Il and Bond Head Cemetery in Newcastle Ontario Canada at future dates to be determined.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 2, 2022, from 10 AM - 2:00 PM, at the Heritage Center in Lanark, IL.
