Susan P. DiGiovanni, 73, of Freeport, IL, passed away on January 15, 2025. She was born June 16, 1951 in Freeport, to Alton O. and Velma I. (Pogany) McIlvanie. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. She was married on September 26, 1978 in Oregon, IL, to John DiGiovanni. She was a teacher's assistant for special needs classes at Lincoln Douglas School. She was a member of the Evangelical Full Gospel Church in Freeport. Organizations included the United Steelworkers of America.

Survivors include her daughter Kathy DiGiovanni, grandsons: Joshua L. Beightol and Derrick J. Lomas; granddaughter Austin E.M. Lomas, sisters: Angie Sedschlag and Lauri Swalve; and brother Alton Joe McIlvanie.

She was preceded in death by her husband John DiGiovanni, and parents, Alton O. and Velma I. McIlvanie.

A service will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at 11 AM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Interment at Oakland Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
