Stephen E. Johnson, 62, of Freeport, IL, passed away on May 25, 2026. He was born on January 7, 1964, in Belvidere, IL, to Roger Johnson and Bonnie (Selden) Johnson. He married Donna Hillman on April 11, 2022, in Freeport. He worked for Rockford Garbage Co.

Survivors include his wife Donna, son Jeremy (Peggy), daughter Courtney, sister Lori Johnson (John Tracey), brother Dean (Dawn) Johnson, brother Brian (Denise) Johnson, sister Traci (Rich) Rehberg, sister Jodi Dreage, sister Toni Johnson, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Johnson, father Roger Johnson, brother Bradley Johnson, and his grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 18, 2026, from 12 noon until 5 PM, at Krape Park *Flagstaff Hill in Freeport, IL.
