Shawn P. Winters, 53, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 1, 2026 at home. He was born on August 15, 1972 in Freeport, to Janet Winters and Larry Fargher. He was a graduate of Freeport High School and later worked as a welder at Seaga.

Survivors include his sister Kelly Babcock, mother Janet Winters, stepfather Larry Fargher, nephew Jordan Erickson, niece Josie Winters, niece Alaina Carapia, niece Mackenzie Prinkey, great-nephew Jordan Erickson, Jr, great-nephews Liam and Levi, and his beloved cat LiL Bruce.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 2 PM – 4 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport.
