Scott Donald Juern, 63, of Freeport Illinois, passed away unexpectedly January 20, 2025.  Scott was born in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in Minocqua, Wisconsin, he developed a love for the outdoors. He attended technical school in Eau Claire for Civil Structural Engineering, graduating in 1983. He was employed at an engineering firm for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, especially on Lake Michigan as well as trips to Iowa.  He also enjoyed spending time with his horses and dogs. Scott was known to be a creative mind and would often talk about starting new adventures and hobbies.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Mary Juern, children Wyatt, Adrienne and Savannah, grandchildren, siblings Carl Jr., Kenny and Constance, and nieces and nephews especially Adam and Kyle.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Beverly A. Tanis, Grandmother Phyllis "Jean" Wagner and Grandfather Elmer "Red" Juern.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations or contributions be made to a local fire department. A private service will be held at a later date.
