With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra McClellan, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. Sandra Denise (San) 60 of Freeport, departed this life on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, in the hospital surrounded by family. Born July 24h, 1964, in Freeport, IL to Emmitte and Genola McClellan. Sandra graduated from Freeport High School in 1982. She dedicated 46 years of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, her gentle touch and empathetic heart touched many over the years. Sandra's life was a testament to love, kindness, and compassion. Her unwavering dedication to her family and those she cherished will forever be remembered. Sandra lived her life with a giving heart and gentle spirit, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense joy being surrounded by her loved ones. As a mother and grandmother, she provided endless support and unconditional love, leaving a legacy of strength, warmth, and care. Sandra's compassion extended beyond her family, touching the lives of friends and neighbors alike. Her kindness made her a beacon of comfort to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, listening ear, and the way she made everyone feel valued and loved.

Sandra leaves to cherish her Father Emmite McClellan Senior, her two children: Kiara (Kris) Martin and Jered Allison, 3 Grandchildren: Keion Martin, Kali Martin, and Calliope Allison; 2 Sisters: Lisa McClellan, Stacy (Jason) Cain, 6 Brothers: Gerald McClellan, Anthony (Rita) McClellan, Emmitte McClellan Jr., Maurice (Lorraine) Muhammad, Andrae Payne, and Michael (Jessie) Bowser; 4 Nieces: Tyesha (Alex) Carr, Breauna (Erek) Patterson, Brittani Cain, Forrest McClellan; 2 Nephews: Gerald (Mary) McClellan and Mandela Lipscomb, and a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews. Sandra also leaves behind 2 Special Friends: Everett "Ed" Allison and Kimberly "Mother" Love.

Sandra was preceded in death by her Mother Genola "Gee" McClellan, Maternal Grandparents Geneva and Tony Erving, Paternal Grandparents Henry and Cora Lee McClellan, and 1 Brother Vincent McClellan.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 11 AM, with visitation at 10 AM until time of service, at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 602 S. Chicago Ave in Freeport, IL.
