Obituary

Sandra Pauline Bock (Osterdock) of Brodhead, WI died April 14, 2026 at Freeport Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1962, in Christopher, Illinois, to John Osterdock and Lily May Armstrong. She was the fifth of nine children.

Sandra spent part of her childhood being raised by her Aunt Anna and Uncle Julius on a farm in Effingham, Illinois, until she was thirteen years old. During her early years, her father served in the military, and he later passed away while serving his country. Following this loss, Sandra was raised with the support of extended family and friends.

At the age of sixteen, Sandra married Jeffrey Edward Winters, Sr., and together they had four children: Latasha, Cassandra, Jeffrey Jr., and Brian. As a Navy family, they lived in various places throughout the United States. Sandra and Jeffrey later divorced in 1990.

In 1991, Sandra married Ricky Bock. Though they had no children together, their relationship remained a significant part of her life. They divorced in 1998, remarried in 2000, and later divorced again in 2011. In 2014, Sandra met Herman Arndt, who remained her loving companion from that time forward.

Sandra was fun-loving, spirited, and strong-willed. She was never afraid to speak her mind and was known for her stubborn yet caring nature. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, with a special passion for roses. She also loved collecting Indian figurines, admired Elvis Presley, and had a fondness for owls.

Throughout her life, Sandra worked as an independent beauty consultant for Avon, where she took great joy in helping other women feel beautiful. She loved creating a welcoming home, often surrounding herself with flowers she planted and cared for.

Above all, Sandra's greatest joy was her family. She cherished time spent with her children and her eleven grandchildren, who meant everything to her. Despite facing many hardships and medical challenges throughout her life, Sandra remained resilient and determined to provide for her family in any way she could.

Sandra had a generous and thoughtful spirit. She paid close attention to what others liked and often surprised loved ones with meaningful gifts, simply to bring a smile to their faces. She was always there when her family needed her, whether it was lending a helping hand, offering support, or caring for her grandchildren.

Sandra will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who was always present, especially in life's most difficult moments. Her love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her Children and Grandchildren: Cassandra Viti (Winters), and her three children, Camryn Viti, Skyler Viti, and Alyssandra Viti; Jeffrey E. Winters, Jr., and his two children, Christian Winters and Jayden Winters (deceased); Brian Winters (Samantha), and his six children, Aailyah Holmes, Jesse Holmes, Tyler Holmes, Monica Holmes, Amelia Winters, and Kolden Winters; Companion of fourteen (14) years, Herman Arndt; Siblings, Patricia Page Phyllis, Thornton April Osterdock, Steve Osterdock, Jeremy Walker, and his two children, Kayden Walker and Alicia Walker; Abraham Jesus Osterdock, David Osterdock, and John Osterdock, many nieces and nephews, and other family members not mentioned, but never forgotten by Sandra.
