Ryan James Hoefer, 44, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 23, 2021. He was born on March 7, 1977 in Freeport to Jimmy Joe and Margaret (Keister) Hoefer. He was a graduate of Freeport High School and worked in floor installation. Previous organizations included St. Thomas Church.

Survivors include his mother Margaret Hoefer, brother Christopher Hoefer, niece Laia Lucia Hoefer, uncles: George Hoefer Jr, Lyle Hoefer, Bill Keister, Dave Keister, and Tim Mellott; aunt Ev Keister, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jason Hoefer, grandparents Alfred and Janes Keister, and grandparents George and Dorothy Hoefer.

*Ryan's father Jimmy Hoefer would pass away shortly after him on August 8, 2021.
