Ronald A. Walther, 86, died on July 7, 2026 at Oakley Courts in Freeport, IL, where he was a resident. He was born on July 2, 1940, to parents Alfred and Elsie Walther. He was a graduate of Lanark High School, and would later serve in the US Army. He had an interest in collecting antiques and attending flea markets.

Survivors include his brothers: Wayne of Pearl City, IL, Harvey of Tomah, WI, and Richard of Pearl City, IL; sisters: Jeanette of Hardy, IA, Ruth (Dave) Busch, and Shirley (Dave) Caudle of Dakota, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Elsie Walther, brothers Clyde and Harold, and sister Delores.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 11, 2027 at 11 AM, with visitation at 10 AM, at the Russell-Frank Funeral Home, 111 N. High St in Lanark, IL. Interment at Lanark City Cemetery.
