Ronald L. Kline, 70, of Freeport, IL, passed away on January 11, 2026 at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1955 in Titusville, PA, to Herbert A. and Margaret J. (Rhoades) Kline. Ron enlisted in the Army in 1972 and served 6 years, in which 3 of those years were spent in Germany. During his 42-year trucking career, Ron's favorite 17 years were spent with his dog Windy by his side. Ron enjoyed cooking and riding his motorcycle and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Survivors include his children: Sharon Wagner Bancroft (Koy), Tanya Kloster (David), Rhonda Goebel (Carl), and Greg Kline (Denise); grandchildren: Nathan Vandervort, Courtney Ward, Madison Bancroft, Kaylee Kloster, Breanna Kloster, Leah Goebel, Jimmy Goebel, Emily Goebel, Allison Kline, Katelynn Kline, Austin Kline; sister Bonnie McClelland (Ken), and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Raymond M. Kline, Richard C. Kline, and Jeffrey A. Kline, who died in infancy; and grandson Luke A. Bancroft.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
