Camanche — Roger E. Sutton Sr, 72, passed away peacefully Thursday June 2, 2022, at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, IL. Roger was born August 21, 1949, in Elkador, IA to Ivan and Alta (Holmes) Sutton. He attended Moline High School graduating in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart JoAnn Berhenke July 4, 1969, in Coal Valley, IL. He worked as an assembler for 42 years at McLaughlin Body Co. Roger was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, hosting foreign exchange students and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind his wife, JoAnn of Camanche, IA, Son, Roger Sutton Jr. (Lacey) of Prophetstown, IL., Daughter, Tammi Marschang of Camanche, IA., Son, Shane Sutton (Heather) of Lyndon, IL. 10 grandchildren - Cody, Destanee, Kaleb, Jonathon, Roger III, Collin, Caleb, Caitlin, Caden, and Shad, and 8 Great-Grandchildren - Phoebe, Adelynne, Jaxton, Brynlee, Aiden, Ashton, Halle, and Willow. Sister, Pauline Walton, Independence, IA and Brother Robert Sutton Sr., Eldridge, IA. Many nieces and nephews, and 9 foreign exchange students.

Roger joins his parents Ivan & Alta Sutton, God parents - Clarence & Lorraine Hoover, Brother Dewayne Sutton, Sister Edna Faust, and Sister Melissa Carroll in heaven.

Cremation rights have been accorded. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
