Robert V. Short, 71, of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on October 3, 2024. He was born on August 17, 1953 to Conrad and Carol Short. He was a Welder for The Caldwell Group for 25 years.

Survivors include his sister Debbie Schumacher, 3 sons: Cory, Robert, and Michael Short; 1 stepdaughter Beth Hoskinson, and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
