Robert Lee Harrington Jr. age 49 of Freeport unexpectedly passed away Friday August 23rd, 2024. Robert was born on July 10th 1975, to Robert Sr and Nancy (Maurer) Harrington. After attending Freeport High School he went to Highland Community College and received his welding degree. He was know for being a Handy man. He worked as a maintenance man for Doug Hastings and Katie for many years on rental properties and business establishments. He was a Jack of all Trades. He loved to help people. If you needed him he was there. He could fix or build anything. If you had an idea he brought it to life. He was a self taught mechanic, electrician and plumber. Robert was a complete jokester, he kept things interesting. His way of showing love was giving you the finger, that's just the way he was. If you received this you were in. Robert had a love for reading he was an endless supply of knowledge. We called him the walking encyclopedia.

He is survived by one daughter Raven Harrington, two sons Odin Harrington and Dante' Harrington all of Freeport. Nephews Scott Jr and Paulina Lewis of St Petersburg, FL, Zakary Hoppe Pinellas Park, FL. Steven and Brittany Barragan, Freeport, IL. Chase Barragan Freeport, IL. And Caden Barragan of Freeport, IL. Niece's Alexandra and Elliot Sommers of Ravenna, OH, Gabriella and Hunter Deal of Champaigne, IL. Lindsay and Joseph Edwards of Vista, CA. Hannah Herbig of Freeport, Il. Samantha (Chris Gonzalez ) Barragan Spring Hill, FL. Great Nephews Mason, Dixon, Beau Wyatt, Caleb, Remy, Harlow, Damon. Great Niece's Nicole, Berlyn, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Aurora. Aunts Peggy Castle, Wendy Willson and Wendy Maurer and numerous cousins and great cousins. Special mention to his Great Uncle Ollie and Judy Veer whom he was very close to.

Proceeded in death by his Father Robert Harrington Sr, Grand parents Oral (Bud) Dorthy Schmelzer, Donna J Willson, LaVern Huenefeld, Charles Harrington and Uncle Robert Maurer Jr.

Cremation rights accorded per his wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
