Robert James Greenwaldt, 91, of Freeport, IL, passed away on October 8, 2026 at Manor Court. He was born on December 23, 1934 in Staples, Minnesota to Alfred Greenwaldt and Angeline (Riley) Greenwaldt. He married Lorraine Infeld on November 24, 1979 in Pecatonica, IL. He had worked as a plant manager and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport.

Survivors include his wife: Lorraine Greenwaldt, son: Spencer Greenwaldt, grandson: Christopher Greenwaldt (Jacklyn Norasingh), and grandson: Shawn Greenwaldt (Emily).

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kathleen Greenwaldt.

A visitation will be held on Saturday October 24, 2026, from 9 AM – 11 AM, followed by funeral service at 11 AM, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport, with Pastor Zachary Aaron Klatt officiating. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
