Robert M. Conkey, 87, of Freeport, IL, passed away January 24, 2022.He was born September 16, 1934 in Chillicothe, IL, to Victor and Gladys (Smith) Conkey. He was a graduate of Forreston High School and on February 23, 1952, married JoAnn Jane Brooks in LaSalle, IL. He was an Electrician at Micro Switch.

Survivors include his daughter Melody E. Conkey (Jake McKee), and Daughter-in-law Cheryl (Michael) Conkey.
Granddaughters of (Brian Conkey):
Shannon Martinez (Manny), Great-Granddaughters Madeline and Savannah
Nealah Conkey, and Great-Grandchildren Bishop and Hope.
Granddaughters of Melody Conkey:
Desaray Paunovich (Mark Amende), Great-Granddaughter Zoe Clark
Lacy White (Matt); and Great-Grandsons Harlan and Crosby.
Grandson of (Derrick Conkey):
Tyler Conkey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Gladys Conkey, Wife JoAnn Conkey, and Sons: Brian, Mike, Derrick, Bill (adopted), Rudy (foster); and Grandson Josh Conkey.
