Robert Leroy Bradford, 94, of Freeport, IL passed away on February 27, 2023 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Madison, WI with his son, Steven by his side. Robert was born on April 30, 1928 to Lester Bradford and Blanche (Wagner) Bradford Wicks on April 30, 1928 in Freeport, IL.
Robert married the love of his life, Arlene Ruth Smith on September 16, 1950 in Galena, IL. Robert and Arlene were married for 69 happy years.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal from 1950 until 1956.

Survivors include his son, Steven (Hope) Bradford of Pecatonica, IL, his granddaughter, Lindy (David) Daly of Davis, IL, his grandson, Kris (Jenny) Bradford of Rockford, IL. Great grandson, Dylan Bradford of Freeport, IL, Great granddaughters, Makenna Bradford and Lea Bradford both of Rockford, IL, Son-in-law, Richard Lamm of Freeport, IL, and as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arlene, and his daughter, Brenda (Richard) Lamm, his brother, Russell Bradford Sr and his sister, Ruth (Carl) Bougher.

A private family service is planned for Friday March 3, 2023.
