Rita Mary Dinges, 89, of Freeport, IL, and formerly of Orangeville, IL, passed away on November 16, 2022 in Freeport. Rita was born on December 4, 1932 in Freeport to parents Roy and Esther (Raetz) Mensenkamp. Rita married Harley Dinges on October 3, 1953 in a ceremony in her parents home. She was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church. Rita enjoyed sewing, quilting and golfing.

Rita is survived by her children: Kerry Dinges, Jody (Steve) Jacobs, Tana (Andy) Wuthrich, and Deanna (Steve) Monte; daughter-in-law Norma Dinges, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Donna Klapp, and sister-in-law Oneta Jensen.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Harley, son Kirk Dinges, daughter Carol Cass, and sisters: Norma Stoltz and Sybil Scovill.

Private family services will be held. Memorials can be made out to FHN Hospice or a charity of your choice.
