RICHARD C. (RICK) NICHOL JR. AGE 69
Of Lake Summerset, Davis, II. was called home Jan 8, 2022 following a long illness. He was born in Freeport, II. on Oct. 17, 1952. He graduated from Freeport High School. On Aug. 29, 1970, he married Rhonda Sturtevant. Rick was a well-respected, talented drummer of forty plus years in the Tri State area. He truly loved music. He performed with many talented musicians over the years as well as with several popular bands. He worked for the Barber Colman Company in Rockford for 25 years. An avid animal lover, Rick also enjoyed motorcycling, boating, camping, and golfing.
Son of Richard C and Joyce (Weegens) Nichol Sr. Rick is survived by his wife, Rhonda, son, Thomas (Amy) Nichol, son, Jesse (Esther) Nichol, and daughter, Teresa (Mike) Caldwell. Grandchildren: Quinn (Taylor) Nichol, Jacob Nichol (Hannah Grinnell), Zachery Nichol (Taylor Faletti), Tyler Nichol (Gabriel Russell), Brice Makosh, Anthony Makosh (Monique Chavez), Collin Nichol, Cole Makosh, Travis (Lydia) Zabran, Angela (Adam) Wickland, Megan (Alex) Miller, Taelor Caldwell, and Kayla Caldwell, 11 Great Grandchildren, his sister-in-law Mary Meier, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Meier, and niece Kimberly Meier.
Cremation Rites are being accorded. A visitation will be held on Friday January 14, 2022, from 4PM to 7PM, at the "Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel", locates at 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
