Richard "Pete" Petersen, 73, of Lanark, IL, passed away on February 17, 2023 at FHN in Freeport. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Mt. Prospect, IL, to Elmer L. and Duella H. (Christiansen) Petersen. He attended Forrest View High School in Arlington Heights, IL. He married Dianna L. Haynes on September 30, 1982 in Mt. Prospect. He worked as a Union Carpenter, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark.

Survivors include his wife Dianna Petersen, daughter Heidi (Chad) Waller, and 7 grandchildren: Hanna (Mikki Stichter) Miner, Dylan (Ryleigh Morton) Bouvia, Paige Waller, Chloe (Cason Witt) Waller, Bodde Waller, Oaklee Waller, and Emerson Waller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Pat, brothers-in-law: Norm and Jim; and brothers: Bob and Don.

In honoring Richards wishes, no services will be held.
