Rebecca "Becky" Brookman, 67, of Freeport, IL, passed away on June 29, 2026. She was born on February 16, 1959 in Freeport, to Paul E. and Nancy (Petticrew) Rose. She attended Freeport High School. She married Richard "Rick" Brookman on August 25, 1979. She was previously employed at Freeport Harley Davidson and Mower Inn, and Tom's Round-Up. Becky also  was the Concession Stand Manager for the Freeport Little League for many years.

Her hobbies included gardening, feeding birds, and baking. Her favorite past times included supporting her daughter on the softball field, riding her Harley, target shooting, and cooking ribs over an open fire pit (a Rose family tradition). She also had a love for her pittie pups.

Survivors include her sister Pat Rose (Bill Lameyer) of Nora, IL, brother Paul (Deanne) Rose of Shannon, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Paul E. Rose, mother Nancy Adams, husband Rick Brookman (03/11/2016), daughter Tori Brookman (01/06/2023), sisters: Janice Rose and Louie Rose; brothers: Samuel Rose, David Rose, and Daniel Rose; and niece Josie Pena.

A private family service will held at Cranes Grove Cemetery.
