Patsy D. Ortmeier-Mitchell, 76, of Freeport, IL, passed away on Sunday June 19, 2022. She was born on March 25, 1946, in Freeport, to Roy and Genevieve "June" (Peck) Ortmeier. Pat grew up on a farm and loved animals. Her favorite past time and hobbies was being with family and friends, watching the birds and the deer. She had numerous plants and enjoyed taking care of them. Her favorite collectibles were her Indian and wolf pieces.

Pat is survived by brother Wayne Ortmeier of Elizabeth, many nieces and nephews, her beloved companion Bella, special cousins Sharon "Sheri" Veer and Deb (Dave) Bontjes of Freeport, special friend of many decades Donna Higgins, and her adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and stepfather Royal Mitchell.

A visitation will be held on Saturday July 16, 2022, from 2PM – 4PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport.
