Norma J. Fleming, 82, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 14, 2021 at home. She was born on June 30, 1939 in Orangeville, IL to Raymond and Luella (Pinnow) Kopp. She graduated from Pearl City High School in 1957. She married William Fleming in a lakeside ceremony at Musky Trail Resort in Phillips, WI on September 10, 1996. William would precede her in death on June 7, 2007. She worked at Honeywell until her retirement in 1998. Norma loved the Chicago Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls & enthusiastically cheered them on. Her true passion was for dirt track racing and her favorite racer, son Bob Silaggi.

Survivors include Lynn (Matt) Harlson of Monroe, WI, Mark Silaggi of Freeport, IL, Robert (Sheila) Silaggi of Freeport, IL, Stephanie (Hippie) Coglianese of Orangeville, IL; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings: Shirley (Dale) Willhite of Freeport, IL, Gale Kopp of Warren, IL, Kim (Cindy) Kopp of Ridott, IL, and Steven Kopp of Freeport, IL; and her very special friend of 13 years, Jim Kerr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister + brother-in-law, Joyce (Dick) Hessenius.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 18, 2021 from 1PM – 3PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. A memorial has been established for FHN Hospice.
