Norma J. Conner, 81, of Freeport, IL. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Freeport, IL. She was born on May 18, 1943, in Monroe, Wisconsin to Martin and Venora Ingwell (Larson). She was one of seven children. Norma attended school in Monroe Wisconsin, and then attended Highland Community College where she received her CNA degree. Norma married James Conner in 1991 in Freeport, IL. Norma loved people! She was a CNA for many years before retiring to become a people greeter at Walmart in Freeport, IL. Norma was a very kind and caring person that would go out of her way to help anyone. Her positivity and love for others was evident through her warm and infectious smile and sweet laughter. Everyone that knew her loved her! Spending time with her family was one of Norma's favorite things to do. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved to stay up to date on her grandchildren's latest accomplishments! Norma was a lady that gave advice to anyone that needed it, but always showed the love that she had for others while giving advice. She was always someone that you could count on to help you turn your day around, and show you how special you were to her. Norma was a member of the Freeport Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. Norma had many friends that will also miss her. Her beautiful smile would always brighten everyone's day.

Surviving Norma are her six children and her many grandchildren. Her surviving children are Scott (Cindy) Saxer, Michael (Tammy) Saxer, Belinda Paxton, Sherry (Richard Sr.) Gordon, Terri Trampel and fiance (Noah) Bloyer, and Henry (Nicole) Trampel. Norma is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Miranda (Joe) Schwager, Christie Saxer, Geno and Angelo Schwager, Anthony Karels, Jayden Williams, Joshua (Nikki) Saxer, Ethan and Francis Saxer, Jason Saxer (Brian Temperly), Samantha Schneider, Richard Gordon Jr., Zachary Gordon, Cortez Brown Jr., Dreyden Brown, Cormarion Brown, Azariah Brown, ZaNayah Brown, Shayne (Michele) Baker, Ami Stingley, Natajah Stingley, Kaydin Boatwright, Dylan Henert, Jared Trampel, Elijah, and Skylar Trampel, Alexis (Jacob) Hambley, Landon Hambley, Maddox Truckenmiller, Paxton Hambley, and Ethan Trampel. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Norma is survived by her siblings Marion Stafford of Monroe, WI. and Bill (Jill) Killian from Monroe, WI. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Marvin, Vic, and Don Ingwell, and her sister, Mavis Riese, a grandson, John, and the love of her life, James (Buck) Conner.

A visitation for Norma will be held on Monday, September 9, from 10:00-11:30 at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd, in Freeport, IL, with a funeral service to follow. There will be a private service at Oakland Mausoleum.
