Michelle A. Kavran, 80, of Freeport, Illinois, passed away on Thursday January 16th, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. She was born on January 2nd, 1945 in Sacramento, California to Michael Kavran and Eleanor (Kuntz) Kavran. She was a graduate of Aquin High School, Highland College, and Illinois State College. She worked for Luecke Jewelers for over 40 years and the Lindo Theater for over 30 years. She was a member of St Joseph Church in Freeport and Greater Downtown Freeport. Michelle had a passion for her nieces and nephews and children in general. People always remember her from her joke of the day and a candy bar. She had a passion to decorate the Lindo for Christmas and Halloween.

Survivors include Mike (Teresa), Dave (Linda), Jim (Suzanne), Teresa (Mark) Recoy, Joe (Vickie), and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Michael and Eleanor Kavran, Mary Dietmeier, Paula Shipman, nephew Scott Dietmeier, and niece Kristine Kavran.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 28th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St Joseph Church in Freeport. Visitation will be held on Monday January 27th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Rosary at 3:30 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd, in Freeport. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial has been established for St Joseph Church, St. Jude, and Muscular Dystrophy.
