Michael "Mike" Johnson, 38, of Freeport, IL, passed away on January 14, 2025. He was born December 12, 1986, to Keith Johnson and Melody Haeft. Michael was a graduate of Freeport High School, but most of his youth was in Lena, IL, attending Le-Win schools along with playing soccer and baseball. He had various jobs throughout the years, including several years at FRG/Star Freeport. Michael was excited to be a father and loved his daughter wholeheartedly. He was funny and quirky, just wanting to be everyone's friend. Most who knew him loved him.

He is survived by his daughter EmmaLee Johnson, parents Keith & Melody, sister Alecia Johnson, and maternal grandmother Marsha Tessendorf.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Francis "Mike" Tessendorf, paternal grandparents Louise Kramer and Harvey Johnson, and maternal grandfather Lloyd Haeft, Sr.

A visitation will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025, from 1 PM - 3 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
