Maurice "Maury" Howe, 74, of Lena, IL, passed away on November 25, 2020 at home. He was born on May 15, 1946 in Lena, IL, to Chester and Louise (Mast) Howe. He was a 1964 graduate of Lena-Winslow High School. He married Lynne Shippee on October 22, 1966 at the Lena Methodist Church. Maury was a dairy farmer as well as an awesome dad! He was the co-founder of the Northern Illinois Draft Horse and Mule Association, and American Suffolk Horse Association.

Survivors include his wife Lynne, son Greg and his sons Brett and Tyler, son Nathan (Laurinda) and their daughter Olivia, son Don and his daughters Bethany (Patricio Lopez) and Liza (Conse) Lopez and their daughter due around Christmas; sister Evelyn Behuniak of Sumter, South Carolina and brother Dale (Sharon) Howe of Bertha, Minnesota, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Norman, sisters Delores Werkheiser, Thelma Howe, and Lois Ferguson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday December 13, 2020 at 1 PM at the farm, 10336 W. Shippee Rd. in Lena, IL, with Keri Rainsberger officiating. Please dress warm and bring your own lawn chairs. Inurnment will be at the Salem Shippee Cemetery in McConnell. A memorial has been established. Schwarz Funeral will be handling the arrangements.
