Mary Catherine Reilly (1922 – 2023)

Mary (Mae) Reilly of Freeport, IL., age 101, peacefully passed away October 12, 2023. She was the daughter of John and Katherine Reilly. Mary was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and worked at Micro Switch for 43 years.  She graduated from Aquin Catholic High School in 1940 and was one of the oldest Alumni at Aquin prior to her death.  She was a member of the St. Mary's Guild and volunteered for years cleaning the church and helping with funeral luncheons.

Mary is survived by nieces Maureen (Tom) Yahnke of St. Louis, MO., Patricia (Mike) Carroll of Lanark, IL, Linda (Dave) Myers of Aurora, CO. and Margaret Reilly of Freeport.  Nephews include John (Becky) Reilly of Markesan, WI., Tom (Sue) Reilly of Coal Valley, IL., Denis (Deb) Reilly of Freeport and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death are her parents, brother John Reilly Jr., sister-in-law Marion Reilly and niece-in-law Glenda Reilly.

Mae enjoyed traveling, card games, bingo, crossword puzzles, the Game Show channel and watching Cub games.

Visitation will be from 9-11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freeport on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, followed by a funeral Mass at 11am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements are being made by Schwarz Funeral Home in Freeport.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established by the family.
