Marvin K. Edler, 74, of Pearl City, IL, passed away on June 4, 2025, at home, while being cared for by his wife and FHN Hospice. He was born on June 18, 1950, at Freeport Memorial Hospital, to Donald Frederick Edler and Pauline Clarice (Koch) Edler. He was a graduate of Pearl City High School and received 2 associate degrees from Highland Community College. He married Nancy Stengel at Sabin United Methodist Church in Pearl City on February 12, 1972. He was an electrician and owned his own business, Edler Electric, and was the Supervisor for Loran Township for 12 years. He was a member of the Eagles Clubs Library Board, and Pearl City United Methodist Church. He was also the Stephenson County Fair Sheep Superintendent for 30 years and enjoyed so much working with the youth & animals.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of Pearl City, IL, son Joshua and grandsons Aaron & Adam, all of Oak Creek, WI; sister Jeanne Edler Brandenburg & partner Greg Hoover, brother Vincent Edler and his wife Diane, brother-in-law Larry (Avolene) Stengel, sister-in-law Carol Stengel & family, niece Heather Stengel & family, special friends: Greg Hoover, Dawn & Troy Hoover, Bob & Cindy Ditzler, Stacy and Eric Gustafson & family, and Adam and Heidi Ditzler & family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline, father Donald, brother-in-law Bob Stengel, father-in-law Myron Stengel, mother-in-law Pauline Stengel, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family service will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established in his name.
