Mark J. Petit, 66, of Freeport, IL, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. He was born October 24, 1958 in Freeport to Amos and Amy Petit. Mark wanted to make everyone his friend.

Mark is survived by his special friend Roy, sisters Barb (Mike) Moran of Dubuque, Debbie (Steve) Monigold of Freeport, nephews Jeremy (Debi) Monigold of Cedarville, Joel (Kate) Moran of Dubuque and Jason (Alyssa) Moran of Dubuque, nieces Jill (Matt) Lei of Freeport, Jessica (Luke) Adkins of Rockford and April (Christopher) Caldwell of Monroe.

Preceding Mark in death were his paternal grandparents George and Virginia Petit and maternal grandparents Lynn and Ione Barker. Parents Amos and Amy Petit, brothers Lynn Petit, Tim Petit and nephew Joey Petit.
