Mark L. Michalak, 45, of Forreston, IL, passed away on April 25, 2025 at FHN Hospital. He was born on January 7, 1980 in Rockford, IL, to Jerome J. Michalak, Sr and Patricia (Kierski) Michalak. He received his high school diploma from Byron High School and worked for UPS Freight.

Survivors include his siblings: Jerome "Jerry" Michalak, Jr (Sherry), Kathy Bradbury & Gary Oltmanns, Debbie Crawford (late Tommy), Matt Michalak; numerous nieces and nephews, and his special neighbors who are greatly appreciated.

He was preceded in death by his father Jerome J. Michalak, Sr, mother Patricia (Kierski) Michalak, and good friend Gary Rubly.

Mark enjoyed the great outdoors, cutting wood, gardening, raising animals, tinkering with engines, and target practice with guns….he enjoyed the simple life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 1, 2025, from 5 PM - 7 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
