Mark Babcock, 62, of Freeport, IL, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born on November 2, 1961 in Muskegon, MI, to Richard Babcock and Shirley Mergen (Bonne). He married Diana Peck on November 28, 1988 in Freeport.

Survivors include his wife Diana Babcock, mother Shirley Mergen, daughter Stephanie Babcock (Shawn Wittbecker), brother Richard Babcock, Jr (Mel Babcock), sister Kris McCartney (Richard Penticoff), aunt Sandy Langley, grandchildren: Chyanna, Levi, and Mason; along with cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Babcock, Sr, brother David Babcock, step-dad Ron Mergen, and uncle Denny Langley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024, from 2PM - 5PM, at Lucky Pines in Freeport, IL.
