Marilyn Thompson, 59, of Freeport, IL, passed away on April 16, 2024 at home. She was born on May 24, 1964 in Chicago, IL, to John Thomas Abbott and Marie Lucy-Dowling. She graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School. She was a member of Park Hills Church in Freeport.

Survivors include her sons: William Ray Mayden, Jr and Garrett Dean Mayden; sisters: Delynn (Debi) Gruver, Patricia Ybarra, and Donna Applequist; brother Dale Abbott, and companion Steven Spriet.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024, from 3PM – 7PM, at Al's Pizza / Towne Tap in Warrenville, IL.
