Linda
Tapp
Mar 20, 1953 — Oct 8, 2022
Wife and mother Linda Tapp's love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Linda passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 69 peacefully in her home. Linda is survived by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Linda aspired to be a writer and captured her talent in letters, poems, and sample books that were left to her children. She was gifted with words and used her talent to appreciate those around her.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Linda. She loved dancing to her favorite music, appreciating mother nature, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. During her time living at the farm, she nurtured animals, made crafts, crocheted, made soaps, fished with her husband, ran a feed store, an antique shop and many other things. She and Steven were foster parents to countless children over many years. Their goal was to make a difference in the lives of children and give them a life filled with love and family. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Linda was predeceased by her husband Steve Tapp, Charles and Ruby Lee (parents), Richard Lee (brother), and Tim Pacek (son-in-law).
Linda is survived by her siblings Dan Lee (Joyce), Lyn Lee, Sandy Severson, Mike Lee (Pam), Charles Lee (Jeanne), Children: Joree Chrostowski (Robert), Tina Pacek, Jacob Tapp (Katherine), Jason Hammond (Ashley), Hannah Tapp, Grandchildren: Sarah, Brett, Bradyn, Lily, Conner, Jayden, Xander, Amelia, Jaxon, Lane, Great Grandchildren: Lynorah, Oliver, Theodore.
The family is asking that we all remember Linda by wearing your brightest tie-dye, most favorite band tee shirt, or simply a bright color to help celebrate her life and personality. There will be a visitation from 12 noon until 2PM, with a memorial service to follow, on Saturday October 15, 2022, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 South Park Boulevard, Freeport IL.
