Lester McHoes, 74, of Freeport, IL, passed away January 23, 2022 at Pearl Pavilion. He was born November 14, 1947 in McLeansboro, IL, to Ward L. McHoes and Benita Bennett. His lifelong partners, Barbara Rucker and Karen Cross, would precede him in death, along with his parents.

Survivors include his son, Tim (Cherie) Rucker, and grandsons: Kaleb Rucker and Austin Rucker; son, Troy Rucker (fiancée Jackie Diedrich) and grandsons: Trevor, Cameron, and Dylan Evans, and Camden Jackson; 2 stepchildren: Misty Miller and Glenn "Jay" Miller; 8 step grandchildren: Tyler "Ty" Miller, Angelia "Tona" Ramos, Antonio Ramos, Romeo Miller, Amore Miller, Heavenly Miller, Jaylinn Miller, and Ricky Miller; along with other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday February 2, 2022, from 5PM – 7PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd. in Freeport, IL.
