Leon Lavern Lohr, 73, of Freeport, IL, passed away on August 28, 2023. He was born on June 2, 1950 in Freeport, to Delbert Lavern and Lida Ruth (Brinkmeier) Lohr. He was a graduate of Freeport High School. On April 26, 1998, he married Patricia Marie Fox in Lake Tahoe, NV. He was a telephone communication technician.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Lohr, mother Lida Lohr of Freeport, son Brian (Karrie) Lohr of Freeport, daughter Kim (Lutz) Weidig of Wentzville, MO, Jody (Scott) Ellis of Lena, IL, Teresa Barrie of Freeport, Jason (Rhea) Van Brocklin of Vista, CA; grandchildren: Gwen Lohr of Memphis, TN, Collin (Sheridan) Temperly of Wentzville, MO, Danielle Temperly of Wentzville, MO, Erek Patterson (Breauna Cain) of Freeport, Tim Patterson (Kitisha Hall) of Freeport, and Marcus (Kenzie) Van Brocklin of Freeport; Malea Van Brocklin of Vista, CA, and Isaac Van Brocklin of Vista, CA; great-grandchildren: Keondra Patterson, KaMiya Patterson, Kylo Patterson, Braylon Cain, Erek Patterson, and Ereauna Patterson, all of Freeport; and sister Cindy Homan of Freeport.

He was preceded in death by his father Delbert Lohr, sister Rebecca Lohr, son Kevin Lohr, and brother-in-law Richard Homan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday September 2, 2023, from 9AM - 11AM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Pastor Willis Schwichtenberg will officiate.
