Leanna Rae Satter Bouvia, 70, of Freeport, IL, passed away on May 11, 2023 at home. She was born on November 5, 1952 in Rockford, IL, to Kenneth Lawson and Louise W. Van Brocklin. She was graduate of Guilford High School. She was a daycare provider and watched many children throughout the years. She was a member of the Bridge Church of Freeport. She loved attending church, spending time with grandchildren, and was an avid Cubs fan.

Survivors include 4 sons: Chris (Dynell) Bouvia of Freeport, IL, Jon Bouvia of Freeport, IL, David Bouvia (Kristy Fruth) of Freeport, IL, and Robert Bouvia (Crystal Saxby) of Cedarville, IL; 10 grandchildren: BriAhna Bouvia (Cody Strasser), Kaylee Bouvia (Jake Pritzner), Zachary and Jessica Bouvia, Hannah Miner, Taylor Bouvia, Dylan Bouvia, Lexie Bouvia (Devlyn Campbell), Amaya Bouvia (Dandre Houston), Chloe Waller, and Dru Bouvia; and 2 great-grandchildren: Kaislee Campbell and Selene Bouvia.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Louise Van Brocklin and Kenneth Lawson, sister Gloria Schmelzer, brother Ronnie Broach, and nephew Dwight Schmelzer.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023, from 4 PM to 6 PM, with funeral service starting at 6 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
