Lawrence Lee Seffrood, 85, of Freeport, IL, passed away on June 22, 2023. He was born on November 29, 1937 near South Wayne, WI, to Lester and Elsie (Meier) Seffrood. He was a graduate of South Wayne High School in 1957 and DeVry Technical College (Chicago, IL) in 1961. He married Phyllis Doubler in Nora, IL on June 6, 1961. He farmed near Woodford, WI and Freeport, IL, until 1995. Also worked as a laborer until retirement 2011. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Freeport. Other organizations included the Audubon Society and Winneshiek Theater from 1996 - 2007.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis, daughter Anna (Steve) Julius of Freeport, son Darwin of Freeport, son Eric (Lisa) of Freeport, 4 grandchildren: Candi Seffrood of Colorado, Amber Ludwig of Freeport, Dylan Seffrood of Warren, and Skyler Seffrood of Lena; 1 step grandson Roger Julius of Sterling, brother Donald Seffrood of South Wayne, WI, sisters-in-law: Marion Seffrood of Darlington, WI and Nelda Reed of Monroe, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Elsie (Meier) Seffrood, and 4 brothers: Wesley, Harold, Dale, and Willard Seffrood; and 1 sister Helen (Donald) Nenneman.

Lawrence enjoyed life with his family and friends. He square danced, played cards, and especially enjoyed traveling to Arizona.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 2 PM, at the First Lutheran Church Freeport, 303 S. Galena Ave. in Freeport.

A memorial has been established for the Children's Miracle Network of Chicago.
