LaTeaka Boddie, 41, of Freeport, IL, passed May 22, 2022 at Uw Madison surrounded by lots of friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Jimmie Boddie, her Uncles Thomas and Jimmy Boddie and her great grandmother Mary Smith.

She is survived by her Mom Mary Boddie of Freeport, and her Fiancé Jeremiah Rogers / Her brother LaDarrl Boddie (Shayna K.) and her sister Vancie Pempilton (Willie Pempilton) of Dubuque Iowa Jeremiah Jones, Labresha Jones, and Ronald Towner all of MS. Her aunts Janet Boddie (Treveryn M), Tonjia Johnson (Eric J.)Gwendolynne Boddie (Tara B.) Tyrone Boddie (Suzette B.) and Kenneth all of Freeport.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023, at Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport. at 1 PM. Rev. Charles Threadgill will officiate. Visitation will be at 11am until time of service at 1pm. The repast shall follow at Bible Community Church located at 2810 pearl city Rd Freeport IL.

Lateaka was full of joy and shared it wherever and with whomever she made contact with. She has 7 nieces and 3 nephews that she loved very dearly. Darreasha, Darreona, MarJaya, Ke'Marion, Takayla, Tykeysha, Alexis, Nya, Ka'Verion and King. Her God daughter Shabricka. Her special cousin whom she saw as her daughter Larisha Boddie.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, gestures, and gifts during our time of grieving our very special Daughter, sister, spouse, and friend.
