Kirk Andrew Winter, 65, of Freeport, IL, passed away May 23, 2022. He was born October 3, 1956, in Freeport, to Henry (Corky) Winter and Virginia M. (Adrian) Winter. He received a bachelor's degree in computer science and would work as a Computer Programmer. He was a member of New Beginnings (Rock City) & Bethany UCC (Freeport), and 1 ^st Eagle Scout in Freeport. His talents included music (The Johnsons Band) and art. He was very devoted and loving to his family.

Survivors include his father and mother, son Adam Winter, daughter Andrea (Pradeep Wijekoon) Winter, granddaughter Koa Wijekoon-Winter, sisters: Adrienne Mooney and Lauri (Shawn Vlad) Winter; brother Eric (Arlene) Winter, many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Paula Vanden Heuvel.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, August & Frances Winter, and Lula Mae Biggin Queckboerner, Jesse Queckboerner, and Virgil Adrian, and brother-in-law Steve Mooney.
