Kevin Jay Henze passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 7, 2026 at Citadel - St. Joseph Village in Freeport, IL.  He was born on October 9, 1961 in Freeport to Kenneth and Leatrice (Lestikow) Henze.  He graduated in 1979 from Dakota High School then worked as a ceramic mold maker at Ipsen Ceramics.

Survivors include his daughter, Keely; as well as brothers, Steve (Connie) Henze, Jeff (Helen) Henze, sisters, Sally Henze, Lisa (Earl Newton) Henze and special cousin Donna Pence. Also survived by his beloved uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda.

We would like to thank the staff of SSM Monroe Hospice and Citadel – St. Joseph Village for their loving care.

Kevin will be forever remembered for his deep faith in God, sense of humor and his love of flower gardening, amongst many other things.

He will be forever missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 12 noon until 4 PM, at the Davis Community Center, 412 Stanton St in Davis, IL. A brief prayer service will be held at 12:30 PM, followed by a luncheon. Please join us and share your favorite stories and memories of our beloved Kevin.
